Default EGR changed over thanks to Vaux Man G

Thanks out to Vaux man G.

Put the replacement egr on with believed solenoid work already done.

    How is it?

There is better pull with less accelerator needed to get me there!

Has it cured the flat spot in 1st gear...? Not totally.

It has got better with the EGR change with less flat spot, but still not as fast as the newer test car at Vauxhall on 40k miles, and now I can strip down mine over a longer period of time, now the replacement is on.

My swirl valve bar is ok, and my boost sensor cleaned. Maybe the inlet manifold is too choked still....

So a relative success for me.

    Question.

The car is 3 years old in Sept 2009 (weeks away - less). It is on 67,000 miles do you think a chat with the manager of my local vauxhall dealer would get me a warranty fix as the car is only just 7k over the three years or 60000 miles warranty....

    Hey Col,

Great stuff, glad to hear you had more success out of it than me, which leads me to the next phase of the trial and error process.

With regards to the warranty, worth a shot IMHO. Whats the worst they can say, no? If they say yes then treat it as a bonus!

    Best of luck and job!

Always worth a try, I doubt it myself, if it had been just 2/3k over it would not have been so bad. It depends what sort of rapport your have built up with your dealer. If its only ever gone there for its servicing you may have a chance.

    Hope you have some joy..
