Servicing Question

Heya,

Was just wondering if anyone had the servicing scedule for a 2.0DTI?

Obviously i know about the 6 monthly/6K miles oil and filters change. i would like to know the big dates as mines just gone past 70K miles and that is usually the first major service on other cars? the all fulids change and timing belt/chain change. i was just wondering if this is the same for the vectra?

Had the 2.0Dti engine in my astra van, most reliable vehicle I've ever owned 186 thou on the clock. Was suposed to be 20 thou servicing, though I had filters and oil done every 10 thou. No belt changes and due to the timing chain... well this never got changed. Drove it with respect and its still going!

cool so chains never need changing then?

Nope, though I've heard that the tensioner can go wrong. If this happens or the chain does need doing then you'll hear it rattling around. Then do get it changed, mine was and is still fine so don't worry bud. In the six years that I had the van, all I replaced, other than servicable parts was one spool pot, front wheel bearing, thermostat and a back box. Not bad for the mileage.

is it the same for the 1.9 cdti 150 enginne??

Sorry no, seems that from the old range 1.7Dti and 2.0Dti. The newer range 1.9Dti and 2.2Dti are over bores of the old. The 1.9Dti is a belt driven engine altogether different to the 2.0Dti and 2.2Dti engines.

so ive got a 54 plate 1.9cdti 150bhp, would that be belt driven?? or chain???

As far as I'm aware belt drive. A very popular engine and from the look of what's available on here for tuning options it's got a lot of potential.
