Hi, I've been looking in to this myself. Mine is the same colour as yours. I started with trying what I grew up watching my Dad use, Turtle wax. It came up with a good shine though with a white residue in the grooves of the trim...Not good!
Anyhoo... found that meguiers do a wax that dries clear. A friend of mine with a skyline in a similar met black, uses it and although it is a little more expensive it's lovely stuff to use and will make your car look like its made of glass.
They do a whole range of good stuff like wash, wax, pads for applying, clay and wheel cleaner etc.

Guys, have you taken a look in the Detailing section of the site?

All the info you ever want on car washing, clay barring, polishing, glossing and waxing etc..

    Have a look LINKY1 and LINKY2

LINKY2 is the most awesome comprehensive guide I've read on car cleaning.
