Default Swapping my CDR 2005 out...

I've decided I wanna swap my CDR2005 out my Vec for my old headunit I had in my astra before it bit the dust. It's a Sony CDX-GT828U if thats any help to anyone.

I just can't deal with using a ****** FM transmitter anymore!

What I wanna know is, what parts etc do I need to complete this.

I don't mind terribly losing the steering wheel controls but if it's possible, anyway to keep them functioning?

    I drive a 53 (2004) plate Veccy.

Cheers lads (and ladettes if any!)

Parts are best to come from Caraudiosecurity as I work about 5 mins from them, makes getting stuff a doddle.

I'm in the middle of changing my CDR2005 for a JVC KW-AVS820 double din unit.

What you require is as John says except for ISO connector. You need PC99-X06 and not the PC99-X45.

Hi John, mine is 2002 and have just fitted a JVC KW-AVX820 and leads I used were

PC99-X06 - ISO and steering wheel controls
PC99-JVC - Remote Lead for steering wheel controls

Okay just done another check and looks like we are both correct. It actually depends whether or not you have the large display.

Require PC99-X45 if you've the large display
Require PC99-X06 if you've not got large display

    LINKY!

As he has got a 1.8LS I would imagine this will not have the large display and will require the PC99-X06??
