Default 'Air Box Mod' Vectra 1.8 VVT

    Hi,

I've recently purchased a 57 Reg Vectra SRi 1.8 VVT (very pleased with it) and after several hours reading through the forum i've read many references to the 'air box mod.' I've even seen a very useful guide on how to do it, it looks straight forward enough and something that will no doubt keep me occupied for an hour or two over the weekend, however, im just wondering....could someone tell me what benefit carrying out this mod will give me?

    Cheers, Andy.

slightly better airflow really helps to pull slightly higher in rev range really when it wants more air

Give it a go mate, i (like many others) have done it on my 2.2 and its got rid of the flat spot i had and generally helps it pull better. Simple job giving significant gains in my opinion.

Can only agree with all the previous comments, done it on my 1800 and it indeed get rid of the flat spots and makes it rev easier and its a free mod.
