    Default Freedom of speech

Too many chiefs comes to mind here, but for a start let me STRESS, I like this site before I get internet slapped, but I feel admins as of late are closing threads a little too quick just because they dont like what they've read, people on here giving the nature of the site are likely to be in a bad mood as most are fed up of their car as something has gone wrong hence them being here needing help.

When someone wants to let off steam let them not just close a thread at a moments notice, imo that gets peoples backs up more.

I may be alone here but from PM's in the past id say i wasnt.

    Thats all.

    Controversial Craig.

    Needed saying mind!

If I may have my opinion, the feel of the site has changed.

I know I don't have to stay around, but I like this site and It's given much more to me than I have given to it.

As for admin, what admin? Only Gary3306 and a few mods have been on in the past month.

    What's changed??

The reason the site is like it is now, is because we have people only too keen to fly off the handle. These threads are nipped in the bud early as a pre-emtive strike. Can you imagine how much time it takes for mods and admin to paw over ALL the new threads every day to make sure all is above board? We can't afford to let threads run that show signs of going that way, otherwise it would take a mod/admin all night to sort one thread out. You are obviously referring to Vectra20tsri's thread. Have a read of it again and look at the timings of his posts. It is a working week day and he asks a question at 10.45 and less than an hour later (11.42 I think it was) he was calling the site because nobody had replied......What does he expect, 99% of members would have been at work at that time and the other 1% probably had no knowledge of what he was talking about so had nothing constructive to add to the thread. The reaction he got from others who posted in the thread was to be expected tbh. It was of his own doing that the thread was 'pre-emptively' struck. My comment at the end is out of bewilderment. If you find the site that bad, then off you go, we don't need to hear you whinge about it and I for one can't understand why anybody would visit a site they thought was crap.

Guys Im quite open about questioning things i do not agree with.... check out one locked thread..

But Gary was very much RIGHT for closing that thread earlier this evening... its better to nip it in the bud instead of it spirialling out of control... more people getting involved and it just generally getting worse.

    See, I disagree.
I don't feel that the forum has changed all that much since I first joined in 2008.
It's still the place to go for good information, useful advice, and good banter if you want it.
I think the mods do a good job, treading a fine-line of acceptable/not acceptable content. Especially since (I don't think) they're paid to do it!
Some of the posts/threads are just unnacceptable and need to be closed down.
I'm all for freedom of speech, but there's a time and a place.
    Long live vectra-c.com
