I'm probably the wrong person to ask. I use what's cheapest - just make sure its compatible and its good to go. I used Comma this last time, will be doing an oil change this weekend and using the same stuff again. Cheap and cheerful, not had any problems.

    It'll be this one.

Castrol GTX has always been a quality oil, I regularly used the 20/50 in the days where that was the std & changed every 6k miles.

The one here is a current day std 10-40 and is good where a 10-40 is recommended but I thought the Vx diesels now were recommended to use 5-30 or even 0-30?

I'd have had no question about using it in my old Vec B 2l DTi where 10-40 was the recommended grade.

    Looks good

If the H/book clears 10-40 for the 3.0 CDTi, go for it, can't see a problem.

Just maybe the 1.9 CDTi that needs the 5-30 fully synth then.

Unfortunately, the e-bay seller doesn't offer that one.

The Asda Magnatec one looks good though, that is 5-30 and fully synth
