Default Tools needed to change brake pads ?

I figure that i'd have a stab at changing these myself

always paid a garage to do it, but i've grown to really love my vectra so want to take care of it myself

I'm only changing the pads, so what tools will i need to get the old pads out and new ones in. THinking i might need a windback key or similar ?

Once you've got the wheel off,a 7mm allen key to remove the caliper and a pair of waterpump pliers to push back the piston, but remember to unscrew the brake fluid cap first before doing this, when the wheel is back on don't forget to pump the brake pedal before driving off and check the fulid level, good luck m8.........

    This might help also.............

so essentially for the fronts i just use a pair of plumping pliars ( the ones that adjust to really wide widths like 9 " etc..) to push the piston back to make room for the new (and wider) pads ?

then just compress the brake pedal to push them back to the correct position.

As GSI3.2s link (the one you've linked to) said to use a windback tool not pliers ?
