Default rear wheel seems loose but nothing obvious can be found

    Hi all,

I went round a corner the other night and it sounded like the rear wheel was loose, stopped and check all nuts suprised to find they were all tight, gave the wheel a rock on the top of the wheel back and forth and it clunks but doesnt if a try from the sides, beliving it to be wheel bearing I jack the car up and try shaking again and clunking stops and wheel is solid but spins freely with no noise at all.

Im at the end of my patience with this car now it seems one thing after another its my sons birthday today and planned on taking him to the zoo, thanks to my car having yet another problem this wont be happening.

So any advice would be gratefully accepeted and even more so if someone knows of the cost to fix.

    Thanks

Upper control arms mate! That metallic type clunk is the tell tale!

Also, if it is wobbly around corners, this is also a sign!

Get them changed mate, about £60.00 for a pair off ebay!

I bet you also get a clunky thuddy sound over uneven road surfaces?

These arms are cheap, but allow yourself a good few hours to change! My dad and I did mine and the ARB bush's and we were there for the best part of 6 hours!

    Default rear upper arms

    hi
they can be done in about 45 mins each side.
ARB bushes if you lubricate them well with wash up liquid or grease they do go in nicely, sometimes you find you need to jack your car up bit higher then gets easier.
