Long shot, anyone got a receipt for a Powercraft washer from Aldi ?

Mines packed up (its pulsing) and cant find the receipt, Karcher wont help without a recipt even tho it says made in 2007 on the serial number , i just need a scan of a receipt, but mine was bought in 2007 so needs to be from 2007 early 2008

long shot i know but if anyone can help, let me know

I have a Aldi Jetwash myself, the yellow upright one, which I believe may well be made by Karcher, certianly looks like one of theirs, (looks wise)

Only snag is I'm struggling to find my receipt too, I bought it about 18/20mths ago. I've looked through where I normally keep receipts, but its not there, not sure whether it got thrown away or its elseware.

Wife's going through a few drws etc. see if she can find anything, if it turns up I'll let you know.

I think there was a 3 years warranty on those, so a bit surprised I dont have the receipt, as its unlikely I'd have slung it. I think the Aldi receipt is just a small till type receipt... easily mis-layed or lost.

You normally get it in one of those leaflet things like you do in Comet/Dixons etc. iirc

The retailer doesn't have the right to demand a receipt if an item is faulty, only proof of purchase (which a receipt is usually the best method).

You can use a bank/credit card statement to prove this, and the retailer cannot dispute it. If you've got digital banking, you should be able to go back about 7 years. If not, and you haven't kept you statements, then you could request the statement from the bank for a small cost.

Seeing as it's their own brand, it's obvious you bought it from them, but you just need to prove when it was bought.

All the receipts I've kept for stuff I've bought at ALDI have faded after a year or so. It's not as if I've left them out in daylight to fade either. They're all in the back of the folder I keep my bank statements in, which is kept in a drawer.

Dont think that will be any good, mine has 2007 on the back of the unit and thats a 2009 receipt , i might have to do a motor swap next time they are in Aldi i think LOL
