Have I done the right thing with my speakers...

Well.. I've had some pioneer 5.5 inch speakers lying around from christmas that i got for my ford cougar but never fitted. So mrs was pestering about fitting them to the Signum.

The How 2 is great, I didn't take the card right off the door, just pushed it open and did the job. Well after buying new M5 screws for the autoleads adaptors as the standard ones were to small.

Now.. the backs done and awaiting the fronts for tomorrow.. and the quality does seem better when playing REM.. however its so much quieter on each setting. I did turn it up and it does go very loud.. but the standard ones although not so good up loud are a little bassier etc.

I'm a little worried im going to lose the bassy audio I had before. Well.. wont know until I fit the fronts tomorrow, and fiddle around with the bass and treble etc. The quality is definately better as they are pioneers. Hopefully when all 4 are fitted its the works

Well i can safetly say after fitting the fronts today that I have lost my hearing.. however the last moments I could hear were the best quality music moments of my life

I recommend everyone to change their speakers! So easy too.. but could do with the product number for the door card popper clip things??? lol Broke a few

Cool, glad its ok ! Im quite impressed with my standard ones at the moment, better than my last few cars so soon, I expect i will get used to them and want some more !

i got these they were recomended on a thread here ages ago got mine from xsmotorsport in strathaven but they should be available all over the country

you won't regret it once they are amped which i didn't do audio wise in east kilbride did all my fitting and wiring

Well I had some Pioneer 13cm (5.5inch) speakers from the mrs that were good quality for cheap price. (You can fit bigger ones in the Vectra 6 inch, but these were bought for my old car originally).

Got those.. and the adapters from ebay which cost me 27 quid with all 4 plates, plus smaller ones to fit the 5 inch speakers, the cable adapters and posting to Germany...

Well worth it. Great mod for 100 quid!

I haven't amped mine and they go really really loud! So god knows how loud they would go if amped. Its an easy job.. just a little fiddly. And u need to buy some M5x13mm mini screws as the standard ones are to wide at the head for the adapters

Haven't touched any tweeters only changed the main speakers on mine
