Default Stitching on steering wheel coming out

    Hi All,

It started a few months ago, a thread was hanging down from about the one o'clock position on the wheel, I cut it off, soon after same thing happened, so I cut it off again. Bad idea as it now affects about four inches from say 1 to 4 o'clock.

There appears to be a double row of loops where the thread has come out, just wondered if I could re-stitch it with some strong black thread?

Still under three year G/tee but when I took to the dealer I was told that items like that were only covered for one year.

    Any help thanks,

i would take it to an automotive leather repair centre or a smart repair site
in the mean time a dab of superglue at the point its currently unstiched to should harden the stitching in its current location and prevent further unravelling till you can affect a better repair

    good luck atb

I had two strands coming down from the 1 o clock position on my steering wheel, cut them off as close to the wheel as i could get, singed the loose edges with a lighter (very quick hand movement to not burn anything) and it's been fine for the weeks since!!
