    Default charges for perscriptions

hey all, been suffering for a while now with an infection in my toe, been given 5 different courses of anti biotics, not one has worked yet and just been given another one aswell as strong painkillers and a external treatment, costing £22, so all in all ive spent nearly £60 in medication for it not to work, i know the NHS is stretched as it is but im a ad peed off ive spent all that for my condition not to be sorted, anyone else feel a trial and error approach at the patients expense is acceptable as this isnt the only example of this ive had. maybe its just me though

I know how you feel, i went to the docs a month ago with shingles and they gave me a cocktail of drugs for that and other things...in the end it was cheaper to get a ****** prepaid subscription. Its a costly affair these days being ill.

Tell me about it I take roughly £38 worth of meds per month for the rest of my life. So the £28 every three months is much cheaper.

thats sickening, really bugs me though, i wouldnt mind paying the £7 if i was better at the end of it, but i never am, and its not often i go to docs, its got to be something bad, think of people that go for the odd cough or cold

never really go to a doc's anymore just think its a waste of time sat there for 3 hours to only be given some kind of anti-biotics.

My wife has type two diabetes and has a prescription exemption certificate. If she didn't have that, I shudder to think what we'd spend per month

Isn't it funny how the charges get scrapped in Wales and Scotland then the price goes up in England OOOh I love this country........
