    Default 38 mpg - 3.2 V6

On a trip from Hull to South Wales and back yesterday (492 miles), I managed to average 38mpg.

Needless to say I still had to put some petrol in on the way home - the gauge was above the red still, showing that I'd done 401 miles and had 48 miles range left.

Thats not bad for a 3.2 V6 Auto eh? Speeds were 40-70mph all the way, some stuck in non-moving traffic.

Wonder what I would've averaged with a diesel?

I have a 1.9 diesel and only a few weeks ago went to the I.O.W, total round trip just over 400 miles (including running around over there) the display said the average mpg was 45. so not that much in it i suppose, albeit had to drag the wife and kids and all the kit they bring for a few days out. But dont drive like a lunatic.

I have never been anywhere close to that, at any speed
I came back to Germany last week at 80-100mph and averaged 32mpg
i find i get better mpg at 80-90 than at the painfuly slow 70mph on the uk motorways

I regularly travel up and down from East Kilbride to Newcastle-Under-Lyme and get similar M.P.G. Unfortunately that is driving like my Grandad, but when I do get the chance to put the foot down, funnily enough the M.P.G. is not really that much worse.
3.2 v6 Signum and loving it

On a round trip of just over 80 miles to and from my dads a few weeks ago i averaged 45.5 mpg that it the best I have ever had that was 60-70 mph all they way in a 2.0T Siggy and we hit stand still traffic on the way. My car just seems to be getting better and better i'm also averageing about 32 mpg around town. I would say I drive at a normal pace as well!

The best i have had out of mine was 33mpg going from weston super mare to norwich all at 70mph and i managed 400 to the tank. I could not get any where near what you have got!

The worst i get is normally 18mpg if i am having a litle bit of fun.
