Z22YH 5 speed or 6 speed

Hi i have an 2.2i direct with the 5 speed gear box and its a fantasic car i see the later models have a 6 speed gear box.
What is the main advantages having the 6 speed box over the 5 speed? i the mpg any better?

Recent 450 mile trip, i got 41 Mpg from mine

Sixth gear all the way mostly in cruise control around 75mph mark,

most i have got outa mine is 39mpg

Five speed here 35.6mpg that's around town & M'way hth ...............

only 5 speed here 32,9 mpg

(that engine here is only sold with 5 speed also in facelift)

so the main differance seems to be the mpg. I do feel sometimes as if my 5 speed box could be doing with another gear

mines 5 speed mate and i get 43 since the clean up i done on it

well on motorway i do miss a 6 gear.. as it goes like 3500 rpm at 120-130 km/h 75-80 mph

Just cleaned a few parts decent service oil spark plugs and all that got 43 going to leeds a couple of weeks ago
