    Default Inbuilt blueteeth help

    Hi
have a bluetooth kit built into the vec
always had sony ericssons and they have worked a treat.
Recently had a huge argument with virgin mobile so as apology they issued out a brand new nokia N86, (oooooooo)

the ****** winy work with my bluetooth.
It says that there are no contacts in my phonebook, ive saved to sim, mem card and phone, still nothing

and if i get a text message its switching my cd off for like ten seconds then starts it off again, where as the sony wouldnt interfere with the cd at all.

Is it not compatible or am i just being stupid and missing something obvious. Any help would be greatly appreciated
    cheers peeps
(ps, also asked VX about cradle, they say no, is this also true, dont want to have to get one but if it solves the issue then i will. But the sonys never needed a cradle)

try using object push to move your contacts to your bluetooth..

the interference did my nokia 5800 to.. until i made it go for silent mode when connected via bluetooth to the car.

I had a similar problem a while ago with my nokia N95 8gb, It would make and recieve calls ok through the built in bluetooth, but to make the calls i had to pick up the phone and go through the contacts myself and dial them myself (defeating the point of having h/f) Nokias (N series) wont work with the phonebook, The built in VX bluetooth is v1.2, I believe Nokias come in v2, and strangely v1.2 gives slightly better compatability when connecting to handsfree kits, nokia also leave out one of the main profiles on the N series phones that is needed to connect to car kits, they do this it seems because they sell their own h/f car kits..
There is a thread on here with a list of phones that dont work fully with the built in cd70 h/f.

Like most people i replaced my cradle mount with the cup holder as there was not a cradle made for my phone

Hi mate, I had the same with mine. Nokia N81 and 5800. Got the Bluetooth module updated at the dealers and all works fine now. Still get the silence when recieving texts, but I think thats more to do with the phones profile. HTH

Yes mate, phone book appears and I can scroll through the names via the steering wheel controls and access call list.
Sorry I don't know how much it costs as it was done under warranty, I was having trouble with the microphone volume at the time.
Wouldn't think its much more than a Tech2 session though, I imagine its only a case of loading on some updated software. HTH
