    Default Unidentified White VXRD

I was in Aberdeen on Thursday and observed a white VXRD, with no other badges
From behind it looked like very much like a Vectra C, with Irmscher tailgate spoiler
There were twin chrome OO tail pipes
However the front looked very much more like a Mitsubishi

Any advice welcome on identifying this make and model

Searched for that on google, and that looks like it
I am almost sure the rear badge was VXRD though!

I knew the rear spoiler just looked too "irmsher" for it to be a Mitsubishi

I assume these are imported Holdens, slapped with Vectra stuff and named Monaro to keep VX happy!

They are in effect the Holden Commodore R8, and Vauxhall simply added the VX at the beggining to call it VXR8.

From what I can see there are two versions
The early version, up to about 2007, is very rounded and has 2 doors
The later version, from 2007 onwards (and the one which I saw) is a cross between a Vectra C and Mitsubishi Evo, and appears to have 4 doors

There aren't that many on Network Q, but they are there!
Equally, the prices seem very keen when compared to the Vectra VXR, so much so I am seriously interested
However, I would expect spares to be an issue (with a considerable waiting time!)
There is one not too far from me, tempted to arrange a test drive, but the colour doesn't interest me

The earlier (2 door) one is a Monaro, with either a 5.7 (standard Monaro) or a 6.0 V8(Monaro VXR).

This was replaced by the new (4 door) VXR8 which has been said is a re-badged Holden Commodore R8, the first models having a 6.0 V8 and then being replaced later on by a new 6.2 V8.

There have been a few offers floating about recently, with new ones selling for between 23-24k, which when you think about what else you can get in that price range, is bl00dy good value.

If its the same car I seen. It was at vauxhall belmont in aberdeen in may when I was looking for a vectra. Was sitting pride of place at the front of the dealer ship. Was back a couple weeks ago for oil and it was still there but sitting over the back in a corner. Just found it on their site!!http://www.jmgroup.co.uk/Belmont/Use...r8-6.2i-V8-4dr
