Default Whats the most stupidest thing you've done

Ok so what have been the stupid things you have done in your lifetime so far..

One that comes to mind is,

Whilst in the Navy, i was duty on a Submarine that was in re-fit..

They were in the process of removing the Nuclear Reactor so it could be re-fuelled.

A fire alarm was set off and we responded.... Here I am determined to be the first to get there... Running.. Pushing civi contractors out the way... Don my breathing appartus and go to enter the module... Till im stopped by someone alot older... who goes... are you insane... you go in there you die!

    ...Lesson learnt there...

The alarm turned out to be false in the end

Well 5 mins ago I ruined a Mira Shower head by trying to force the shower head apart for cleaning and ended breaking it. £40 for replacement. Going out to get one this afternoon from B&Q.

Banging a nail into heating pipes under floorboards.

I always remember when I was in my teens I was keen on electronics, and was attempting to repair a amp/tuner of my dads which had packed up, and being the bigheaded **** I was and eager to show off my tech skills to him. He was keen on Hifi stuff and had recently bought himself a very expensive pair of top of the range headphones, anyway, I said to him to have a listen through the headphones as I had managed to get some sound coming through. he put them on his head and was listening intently when to my horror I noticed smoke started to bellow out the side of his head from his expensive headphones. He was not a happy bunny at all! Anyway I said I could fix them as good as new, I remember buying a cheapo set off the market for a couple of quid and putting the bits into his headphones, and as you might guess they sounded horrible, though I tried to convince him in vain they were okay.

For some reason he was always reluctant to let me touch or repair anything of his after that...LOL

I've done loads of daft things in my lifetime, and still do, all part of growing up, even today..
I let my heart rule my brain, and even when I know what I am about to do is wrong, I'm not satisfied until I've gone and done it. In particular when buying something expensive like toys I dont need, I still go ahead and do it. Only to prove afterwards that my reservations and reasons for not buying were absolutely correct in the first place..lol I have wasted many tens of thousands of pounds doing this all my life, even more so since I could afford to do it, and I still do it today at 66yrs.

Good job I have a wife who knows me and is very tolerant indeed. Best thing I ever did was marry my wife, and raise 3 lovely, and successful kids.

    ooooh that was nasty..

It will be interesting to see how many actually pay for the second year.
Though I think in most cases it automatically comes out of Paypal.
