Default Best way to remove hub nut?

Am i right in thinking that the front hub nut on the vec is 30mm for a start?
What is the best way to crack it off? Would taking the centre cap off and putting the wheel back on and setting it back on the ground help?? Cheers John

Yes mate, but with a mate in the car pressing the brake pedal. My wheel started spinning on the ground when I did it on my own.

You don't need an impact socket mate. Hubs have been changed in fields by members at PVS before. Is it the rear your doing?

I had to give up with mine as the thing wouldn't budge even with a 3/4 inch socket set with huge breaker bar. Local indy did it for me for £40.
