    Default Scraped snowflake

I've marked one of my snowflakes on a curb stone thats lifted from its footing.
Its in a dropped curb outside my moms house thats the entrance to a shared car parking area for the bungalows she lives in.
The said curb stone has lifted about 1.5" but because traffic crosses it going in and out, it rocks in the centre lifting up one end to about 3".

Should i claim from the council for the damage ?

How much chance have i got of winning a claim ?

I'll be going back after to take some pictures of the curb and the marks its made to the wheel. Should i take a tape measure aswell to measure the height the stone is when it's tipped up ?

Doesn't it need to have been reported before as well or they just claim they didn't know.
Now I need a turbo to keep up!

Sorry to hear what you did to the wheel Phil. But the claim, has to be worth a try.

    Took these with my phone.........
Going back tomorrow with my camera and tape measure and doing it properly.

This curb has been like this a while judging by the gap around it !

I hit a pothole a couple of years ago, took out the side wall of both n/s
tyres. I went back the following day and photoed the pothole, took images of
the tyres before they were replaced. Sent the images and a copy
of the bill for replacing two tyres to the local council, who after
four months of arguing produced a policy document stating that so
long as the highway is inspected twice a year, then they were not liable.
The council concerned is Kent County Council, the same council who
wisely invested £50 million in the Icelandic banks prior to there collapse.

    Good luck fighting the system
What you will need to establish is if the kerb stone has already been
reported to the council and have they failed to carry out repairs within
their scheduled time. Start by contacting your local town/ parish clerk
    for this inforation.
