    Unhappy Loss of fuel pressure

My 55 plate SXi2.2i petrol auto estate 40,000mls FDSH had to be brought home by the AA yesterday as would run but no power my local garage put it on the computer and the problem was loss of fuel pressure, normal pressure should be 7,000 kpa and mine was only doing 400kpa hence why it would only run at 5mph. On the dash the car with a spanner through was showing, and the engine light was on.

The AA had told me it was the exhaust valve's not opening or something like this (error code 1112 I think) but my garage showed me the arm just under the manifold moving back and forward and working.

Very worried about the cost to fix Any Idea's?

    PS Thanks

    Yes,they started on 05 plates.
As already said it'll be a new high pressure fuel pump needed. Lots of threads on here about it.A known fault to Vauxhall, they refuse to go as far as admitting it though, because this would trigger recalls,so as it's a very expensive job, expect Vauxhall to help you out toward the cost.
Check my avatar the silver ghost on the left is an 05 Direct, I then traded in for the Black Facelift Direct on the right.

Also worth noting that all 2.2 signums are the direct engine.
