CDC40 - 6 disk cd changer, more watts from speakers, generally more speakers, and usually DAB radio as well as FM, MW.
Later ones (probably late 2007 or MY08 onwards) are MP3 compatible on the CD changer. early ones do not.
no aux in socket though, as it is taken up by the DAB unit.
Oh, also..... they have a habit of losing the presets for the radio. Apparently was fixed by a firmware upgrade, but mine still does it occasionally!

Cool this ones a CDC40 Opera as well will be putting it in for sale section soon
Has it been Tech2ed out of the donor car otherwise it's an expensive doorstop.
It hasn't but I have the screen with it so it's all gravy baby
even if i didn't have the screen there are companys out there that can decode these so it would never ever be a door stop
Sorry, not trying to drown your gravy train but think you'll find it can only be unpaired/decoded when either/both are attached to the car. They are all synced to the ECU in the car. A few people on here have brought radios that haven't been teched 2 and couldnt do anything with them. One person tracked down the car and paid to have it fitted so they could unpair it.
Sorry but you are wrong the common perceptive is that the radio and screen are paired to the ECU this is wrong, both HU and screen are paired together I know as I've had a stereo and screen from another car and found out the code and depaired it while in my car.
And as long as you have both screen and HU from the sane car they will be fine, but there are companys and members on diferent forums that can decode cdxx stereo's and NCDCxxxx, who would ever think you could retro fit a CD70 into a half canbus veccy or retro fit a NCDC with out the right wiring any thing is possible you just have to believe
BigMac is quite correct!!
I have had three different radio's in my wifes 2005 full can pre-facelift vectra...
It was more hassle getting the divorced screen and headunit into the car...
They had to be tech 2'd in..Vx price for this is now about £80..where as we had a paired head unit and screen from a crushed car that worked fine together with no tech 2 required.
Also the pre paired CD70 and GID are now working in my Fully Non-Can Cavalier!!!...therefore they would easily work in a half can vehicle.
Without giving too much away to the less than savoury brousers...the hint is in the term SAFE MODE!!
