Default What are connectors on the CD30?

Hi guys, I'm collecting my "new" 2006 SRi Estate (120bhp diesel) later today after a week of faffing with the dealer to get a warning light resolved (brake switch failure was the message, or something along those lines).
Anyway, they assure me that it is sorted now so I pick it up later.

In my last car I had a Sony head unit that could play MP3 CDs but since this new car has an integrated radio then I might be tempted to stick with it for a bit. The problem is that I do a lot of long distance journeys and I don't want to have to carry around a lot of CDs, one MP3 CD lasts a good long while!

So, what I am after is a way of connecting my iPod to the CD30. I understand that there isn't an auxiliary input on the back so I have been looking at getting one of these.
The question I have is whether I will need to buy any additional wires, adaptors and gadgets to make it compatible with the wiring harness back there?
Are fakra plugs used for the aerial? Do I need anything clever to get an ignition switched power feed or is there one in the physical harness rather than a signal coming over CAN?

Thanks for your help, I can see me using this forum quite a bit in the future - it seems like a good source of information!

I suppose I should also ask if anyone has any experience with the Connect2 FM Modulator as well!
I assume that they're quite resilient to interference?

I'm just wary of spending money on adaptors and all kinds of other gadgets in an attempt to get this working and having something that sounds worse than just buying a set of £5 speakers and blue tack-ing them to the dash

    Thanks!
    Ant
