Angry TPMS....best place to get a sensor?

This a good reason NOT to use alloy valve caps on your tyre valves..
I try to keep them lubed up so they dont cease on but tonight when removing one (that had ceased)..SNAP! It has broken the the threaded part of the valve stem off, leaving the valve needle sticking out, Now if thats not bad enough i have TPMS so i THINK (could be wrong) i have to replace the full thing...sensor as well as they are one unit,

Could someone please clarify this for me? and where is the best place to get a TPMS wheel sensor? Does it need to be tech 2'd when new?

Im a bit cheesed off to say the least!

Just seen your location. Have you been to Autovaux, all there gen VX stuff is cheaper than VX themselves. The part wont be listed on there site but they'll still get it mate.

If you cant get there just drop Kieron an email on kieron@autovaux.co.uk

Cheers Rushy and Plasma. Do you know if it will require a Tech 2 session to get it to work or are they plug n play?

Thanks for the links, i have saved them for future reference!

However upon inspection in daylight, it would appear the thread part had sheared off about half way down, all i had to do was get the rest out from the alloy cap and stick it back together, which i did! I used a very expensive chemical metal which has done the trick.......now to go and buy some plastic valve covers!
