    Default Dension Wiring

    Trying to install Dension ice link, Please can anyone tell me which wires go where? I have three 1 Red, 1 Black and 1 Purple. Not sure which is which on back of stereo CD30.

    I seem to remember when I fitted mine that you just need two - the red and the black. Connect the red to the red one on the head unit and I think the black one connects to the brown on the head unit. If you look at the diagram on the head unit it will tell you - you need to connect into the live and the ground.

    cheers peterm will give it a go. The diagram on the stereo not to clear looks like vauxhall were trying to save ink when they printed it!

    Just had a look on my CD30 - it's in the garage after fitting a new head unit. You want to connect red to the wire marked '12V+' and the black to the one marked 'GND' (using the supplied clips). That's all you need. Note that this gives you a permanent live connection so the ipod will get power whether or not the ignition is on.

    Yep! got it working. Thanks again for your help Peterm. Quality not the best but It will do for now till I have got the dosh to upgrade to something better.

    glad ya got it working chap, i didnt think it was the best quality either but same as you im going to upgrade later. just waiting for someone to bring out an adapter for steering wheel and display!

    yeh, i feel pretty much the same. I like the look of the VX stereo in the dash but they need to make them expandable to take mp3 players etc.
