Default Scored disks - warranty ?

Just been told by a VX dealer that brake disk warranty runs out at 18,000 miles.

As my Siggy has done 24K, they won't replace my rear disks under warranty, even though they are heavily rutted.

Can anyone confirm this policy ?

Some people can go through a set of disks and pads in less than that. Still, only about £70 for a disk and pad set from vx as they do a "kit"
Now I need a turbo to keep up!

Was that the kit or the disks and pads seperate? I know the prices have gone up though.

I've never heard of that one
I've had rear discs and pads replaced at 45K miles, with just 10K miles on them
However I had to request the VX Area Engineer attend, to ascertain what the cause was, which meant I was without my car for 3 days
I then also claimed on my current car, but this claim was authorised without any question

The discs need to be shown to have failed prematurely, excluding "normal wear and tear"
The best sign of this is excessive noise and/or vibration on light braking at around 40 to 60mph

i think they mean after having had the brakes for 18k mies

at the time you had them for 10k, hence why they were under warranty
