I bought this about a month ago for my dad's SRI CDTI 150 as I was trying to get rid of a horrendous flat spot between 1-2k rpm.
Anyway, I was told that the EGR Valve was knackered, eventhough I had previously gone through the entire cleaning process.
So I replaced it for a second hand unit that I purchased off ebay.
THIS UNIT HAS APPRENTLY HAD A RE-WORK BY A VAUXHALL TECHNICIAN.
It has been cleaned and stripped apart (solenoid side). It has a hole at the end of the plastic on the solenoid side where the internals were knocked out for cleanign and re-working, etc.
Anyway, to cut a long story short, I fitted this EGR Valve and the flat spot was still there.........so I have not gone off an bought ANOTHER BRAND NEW one off ebay and guess what, problem still there, so as far as I am concerned this EGR Valve is OK as the New one does the same thing.
So, this sale is for a used EGR Valve for a CDTI 150 Engine (16v) that has been cleaned, etc.
It is used so dont expect a brand new item. It didnt resolve my problem but may help you.
I will post some piccies up soon but this is strictly sold as seen based on my description as I am trying to claw back some of the monnies I have spent on this trial and error process (which incidentally is still ongoing)....so I would say grab a bargain as these are £120.00+VAT at Vx.
Please dont think of the Sold As Seen as a get out clause for me, its not, I simply could do with some of my money back as I bought it in good faith and to be fair it works, it just doesnt get rid of my flat spot. Just so you all know, check out my recent postings and you will see I am doing a vast amount of trial and error and the next port of call looks to be the 3rd Injector Wiring in my pursuit of resolving this flat spot.
