    Default xenon headlights self leveling

my vectra 1.8 2006 facelift has xenon lamps which go through a self leveling routine when the engine starts and the lights are on.
During this process only the left light goes up and down and then balances middway, the right one just makes a very small up and down motion , imagine that something is blocking it from moving and stops without going up and down.I t also shines further up from the left one , i figure that is why other drivers are flashing their lights to me.
    Any hints,
Anybody with xenon headlights , please check and see the lights behaviour during the self leveling procees when you turn them on . Are they both going up down the same distance?

    Thanks in advance

If there was something wrong I thought you got a light on the dash ? It's in the manual somewhere.
Might be worth getting the beam aim etc checked just to be on the safe side.
I've found I got flashed regularly with my xenons, not quite as much in the vec as I have been with the Insignia though. I put it down to the fact that they are generally much brighter and people think you have your high beam on.

My pre-face does the same movement on both lights. Have you checked visually how the lights are levelled? If they both are levelled correct when you use the lights, it should be OK then? If there was/is a problem, you should get warned by a small yellow warningsign at the right side of the speedo-clock, the sign looks like a headlight and it flashes. Ive seen it a few times on mine, but cannot find any fault, and it dissapear if I turn off and on the engine.
