    Default Remove the Rear Bumper

    Hi folks
was wanting to fit rear parking sensors to ma veccy
i seen the how to on fitting them look simple apart from removing the rear bumper

Got a few questions before I buy the sensors and have a go at this.

    1) Could I remove the bumper and lift it off by myself also fit it on again by myself or is it a two person job?

    2) Once the bumper is on again does all the trim go back and look correct or does it always look like the bumper has been removed?

    3) Is there a How 2 on rear bumper removal, have searched but can not find any How 2 on this.

    4) My Car is Ultra Blue is it possible to spray? Them if so can the paint be bought from stealers? Or just go to halfords?

Sorry for the overload of Q's but don't want to tackle it if I wont manage it.

    1. Can be done by yourself but another set of hands would make the job easier

    2. As long as you dont put it on upside down it will be fine,

    3) Very easy to do mate, 2 screws each wheel arch, couple of clips underneath, pull one side out from the arch not to much though, then slide your hand in between the bumper/car as there is a retaining clip and push out ( same as other side)

    4) I got my colour for the reversing sensors from halfrauds, match was spot on, easy if you have your colour code to hand

Go to the dealers, get some ultra blue paint. About £10 i think?? comes with the paint and the laquer, colour match is perfect. Sprayed my own. Ended up being a good job

Just a quick question, are the front sensors any different from the rear or are they just the same?

Do you just need a basic live & ground for the front ones or is it switched somewhere?

    Cheers, Andy
