Will be doing a PAT testing course in late September, and subsequently will be looking at buying a tester. Theres obviously more than a few on the market so looking for advice on which one to go for.

    - will be doing low volumes
    - will be doing household appliances & IT equipment
    - preferabley the simpler the better, no need for one that got more functions than the starship enterprise
    - Do you need a seperate microwave tester? seen a few of them listed

    Any advice greatly appreciated.

I would suggest a seaward too , we use a few metrons , but these are really expensive and bulky

Definitely buy a Seaward machine, go for the best model you can afford.
The machine will need calibrating on a yearly basis and you will need to get a separate microwave tester.
    Hope this helps.
