    Default Phone Portal removal ?

    Hi,

Got the CD70 and phone portal in my car. Enquired about a sony erricson mount as I thought it would be good to charge my mobile at the same time as being handsfree.

The price is £101.00 !! Bit overpriced so I use the bluetooth connection instead, works fantastic.

Now I want the cup holder thing, so can I just remove the Phone Potal or will it need tech 2'ing out ? Dont want the car to throw a wobbly ! lol

    Thanks

    Easy mate...

    Unclip the holder...

Unplug these cables and tuck out the way....

Clip one of these or similar in place...

    Play with the little door....

Can even double as a handy "multi phone holder...eh, how good's that??

Should take all of 30 seconds to do..... HTH.
    Ken-tec FTW.

Also to answer the second part of your question...

No tech 2 is not required...you will just be tucking the cables out of the way...as if it was still there but not being used.

must admit the cup holder is useful for holding bits and bobs but what a place to put it to actualy hold cups and cans , ****** nusance when changing gear or applying the handbrake

I'd agree with that. The ones in the back seat are better for holding cans/bottles, front one is good for keeping small things hidden from prying eyes though

Yer, I thought that - still, like you said its good for holding things and more use that a rectangle piece of plastic with gold electrical connectors for show with a nice spring mechanism to play with !
