I've just fitted a brand new EGR valve to my dad's CDTI 150 and there is something else thats been bugging me for a while, im sure I started a thread before but cannot locate it now.
Basically, when the car is cold and on idle, it almost wobbles....and then when I rev it to 1k rpm and hold it at that, the whole car shakes as though it is trembling....it actually feels like its running on 3 cylinders, but when you rev further its fine. The crazy thing is the rev counter doesnt move up or down when its idling so the rev's aint jumping!
Basically, im trying to eliminate the 3rd injector issue. The swirl bar is fully connected and the bar moves when rev'd and moves at all 4 points.
Im wondering whether this has anything to do with the flat spot or is this the famous fob off about the alternator voltage, etc, that has been issued by Vx?
What have I done so far:
- Cleaned EGR Valve and Inlet Manifold of soot build up;
- Cleaned boost sensor;
- Replaced EGR valve for one that has been re-worked by Vx;
- Replaced EGR for a BRAND NEW ONE;
- Done the Air Box mod;
- Fitted K&N Panel Filter;
- All code's cleared and nothing showing at present!
So, your thoughts please!
Thanks, G.
