Default Electric mirrors not working correctly

Ive noticed when i have the right switch pressed for the mirrors it moves both mirrors, when i have the left one switched it moves the left one as it should do.

Is there some setting thats been changed ?

The function was changed sometime mid 2004. My Jan 04 (53 reg) didn't do it, but a mate's Jun 04 (04 reg) did.

Yes I brought this up several years ago. When I noticed it whilst setting mine. It seems a strange idea, something to do when another person drives the car, the mirrors are still in best view I belive.
