    Default apparently i have had a claim

    got my renewal in £479 phoned them up to ask why and they say i had a claim, logged on the system
    the story of that was ...i went to hi-q to get 2xfront wheels balanced and whilst there one of their tyre fitters reversed another car into mine and scraped my bumper. the manager admitted it was their fault and documented so on my recipt,he said get some quotes and the company insurance would sort it out .
    so i went home and phoned my insurance company of the incident just to keep myself right . then went off and got a good quote went back to him and he said hie excess was more than the quote and that he would just pay it himself .. i notified my insurance of this and the guy duly paid to have my bumper resprayed now at renewal time they are saying because of that i have a ****** claim lesson learned i won't be so quick to phone them if it ever happens again

    Surely that should count as a 'None Fault' has your premium increased as a result or just cost of living etc .............

    don't know been on the phone ranted and raved at them etc etc they won't bude so went to morethan £255 so i'm going there and admiral can go suck eggs

    that sux andy its hard to get good insurance cheap just like getting people to a meet lol

    I see your problem... It was Admiral! i have heard so many horror stories about them its unreal. i am only with them for another 11 days and they i can say bye bye to them

    Whether you have claimed or not, you reported it to your insurer, and thus it shows as "one claim"
    Request the current insurer amend this to a non-fault claim

    I have had this a few times, where the other parties insurer writes direct offering their services PLUS paying for all costs AND thus avoiding the excess
    However, I always decline this and claim any and all costs through the legal portion of the cover
    It still shows as a claim, even though the policy never actually paid out as the costs were paid direct to me from the other parties insurer
