    Default Lazy starting

Now I've finally got the 1.9 cdti back (with new ecu) it's a bit lazy at starting - but I'm grateful it starts at all!

It seems to start better 2nd attempt (if it doesn't go first time), and better when hot/warm.

    Point to the heater plugs?

    Thanks

    G

    Default

it could well be, but it could also be leak off pipes starting to split around the ends, what happens is if there is a slight air leak at the leak off pipes and the car is left standing over night for example it allows the fuel to drain back towards the tank and cause a bit of an air lock thus taking longer to start, but equally if you have just one duff glow plug this will make starting more difficult, if you take it to an auto electrician they can test them in situ, takes about 5 mins and you'll know for sure. hope this helps.
