    Unhappy Broken front coil spring

Well after reading the many threads of here regarding the front coil springs snapping on people, I never thought it would happen to me.

I was driving to Tesco about an hour ago and noticed a bumping/knocking noise coming from the front of the car. When I got home I jacked the car up and noticed the front drivers side spring had snapped in half. I've booked it into my local dealers for them to fix under warranty. One thing i'll make sure they do is use the correct springs as mines a sri.

To be honest the only reason I never thought it could happen to my car is a 56 plate and only done 31,000 miles.

I'd love to but I may aswel get the spring replaced for free this time. If it happens again out of warranty then i'll fit some decent springs myself.

Does anyone know if vauxhall will replace the springs as a pair or just replace the broken one?

I am pretty sure that they should be doing them in pairs, it's like brake pads or discs, you don't do one side and not the other. Hopefully Vauxhall should know this mate, then again we all know what they can be like
