    Default Good new from me!!

Hi folk, just wanted to say, that after a week of cringing, over my Mk1 Astra going in for its MOT today,,

It only went & chuffing passed!!!

I am as happy as a pig in the preverbial now, this is the 3rd Mot its has passed, while i have owned the car!

A couple of minor points, such as the rear numberlate is iffy so that will get swapped,,, (back) front discs, are worn (still waiting for a new pair to arrive, that were posted last week.

But all in all, another 12 months of happy driving, good job too, as i am off to retrorides Gathering on saturday

    Not necessarily !!

My mates car is absolutely MINT... won several car shows, has numerous trophies and is truly MINT...

    Failed its MOT though !!

    - Drivers seat belt was frayed (??? its a 2004 car !! - cost £160 to replace)
    - Front offside Wheel was sticking on rotation.. (??? didnt do a thing to it, and it passed its retest ???)

    Ta for the comments peeps!!
It is nice to know its back on the roads for another 12 months, & yes the work will get done very shortly. The welding will cost me about forty notes, so that will sort it out.
The car is 25 years old now, so it hard to imagine its got through again.

The vec-c is booked in on the 28th, so its fingers crossed there.

Last year it was springs, (no surprise there) It was also advised for rear discs scored. Well i have done them, so not a problem. just see what else they'll find, a don't hear any clunking or whining so fingers crossed eh?? new tyres all round too.
