    Arrow I-Phone

Hope all you I-phone users can help me,i'm hopefully getting one in a few weeks and just want to know some info:

    1) Can you use the internet on a payg simcard and how much does it cost per minute?

    2) Can it be used abroad?

    3) What is the battery life?

    4) Is it as good as everyone who owns one says it is?

Just want any info about it good or bad, hope you all can help........

    ok

    1) Yes and it'll be whatever your PAYG tariff is and it'll more than likely be done by amount of data rather than per min

    2) Yes data transfer is pricey though

    3) It really depends on how u use it. if you want a phone battery to last more than a day dont get an iPhone

    4) Yes Better

I would strongly suggest getting it on a contract because they are tailored to the iphone so data allowance is unlimited (fair usage policy though) many apps will use data transfer when u use them thats why so many apps can be added because they connect to the net to get the data you are after.

Anything i can help with about it? feel free to PM me

Well living in London you'd expect to get fantastic 3G etc etc etc ..........

Well on 02 I only just get Edge (at home). Only ever had 3G whilst at Heathrow.

So I decided to Hack the iPhone Popped in a Vodaphone sim and the quality of reception is amazing ......... Full 3G at home with all the bells and whistles. Roll on January 9th when my time with 02 will end

I am very much actively against Apple products. very much a PC man, hate Mac.

...however I got an iPhone last week and it's SUPER. it's so much more than just a phone. It takes mobile to a whole new level. This coming from someone who owned a few N series Nokia which I thought were great, iPhone blows them out the water.

The majority of people who will knock the iPhone are people who've never owned it. (Not all but most)

From an Apple hater with an iPhone, get one! (go contract so you can get the most out of it with unlimited web)

So presumably you are getting the handset only - not a contract? Is it still on O2 or unlocked. If I got an unlocked one I would stay on my unlimited-data t-mobile sim.

There are plenty of sim-only contracts - here are some from O2, the bottom 2 have a choice of unlimited web add-ons.

Thanks for the replies guys, vxvirgin yes its still locked to O2 and didn't really want a contract but for £20 a months on a sim only contract isn't bad especially if i can get web access included So whats the difference between unlimited wi-fi and unlimited web, on the sim only simplicity? Thought these were the same, its all new to me these days i used to be so hot on new phones but the iphone is a completely different beast, keep the info coming guys.............

Unlimited wi-fi is nothing mate... Wi-fi simply means it has the ability to connect to a wireless network, therefore using the networks internet/broadband rather than the phones 3g/edge connection. So its free.

Unlimited wi-fi means you can connect to something like 6000+ wi-fi hotspots around the country for free! For example in mcdonalds or in a service station, its a great little perk to have

If I-phone comes to Vodafone then I'll get one for sure. If not then I'll stick with my HTC TytnII
