Default New Signum Arrived At Last!!

Hi - I'm happier than a pregnant nun - My new Signum has finally arrived this week. I'm really impressed with it (apart from a faulty boot lock which keeps jamming shut - that's being replaced under warranty). It drives great and is really good spec. I even prefer it to my VW Passat that I had prior to this. I've also fitted colour-coded rear parking sensors yesterday, and they work a treat too. I've attached pics for anyone sad enough to want to see it?

What make of rear parking sensors did you fit? I want to put some on my Signum and I am told that there is very little space for most sensors.

These were just £18 cheapies off fleabay, make unknown as I chucked the box in the bin. They came colour-coded in silver, and fitting them was straight forward apart from the having to drill through the cross-beam behind the rear bumper. As you can imagine, that bit caused me to mumble a whole new launguage from of my chubby chops!

I've fitted parking sensors to three other cars that I've owned previously, so I was lucky enough to have a basic understanding of how to fit them, but the Signum was the most time consuming and took approx 3 hours in total. Still, it's definately worth it as having parking sensors is a must have.

But it does make me wonder how Vauxhall (or any other car manufacturer for that matter) can charge £250+ for fitting them?!?! All dealer Service Managers should wear striped jumpers with balaclava's, plus exta-wide wellies to hold your feet in place whilst they bend you over the service reception, dribble in your ear, raddish your botty, and fleece your wallet!

cracking looking motor - and the dealers are called stealers for a reason.

but then, no stealers, no signum.
