Hi Folks,

I've just got a new battery charger as gubbins here decided to leave the keys in the ignition overnight in the 'on' position as so found a nice dead battery the following day .

I've got this one from our friends at Argos http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Produc...RY+CHARGER.htm
It seems to be ok for what I need as I've got a maint free battery (52Ah) on my 2004 Vectra Estate 1.8l, however I've noticed that it says it's suitable for over 1800cc engines. The other option I had was for it's smaller brother: http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Produc...er/7402096.htm

I'm after some reassurance that the one I've got will be ok and won't damage the battery due to it's higher RMS charge rate (12 amps as opposed to 8 amps). Will I be ok with this one or do I actually need the smaller one more suitable for engine sizes up to 1800cc. I'm hoping that the bigger one will be fine as then I won't need to get a new charger in a few years if I get a car greater than 1800cc

Many thanks, in advance for your advice folks.
