    Default Park Pilot Speaker fitting

Kind of unsure on this one, but can anybody confirm where the park pilot speaker in the headlining goes on a Vectra Estate. The ribon cable is there for it and runs from the passenger rear to where the rear passenger side grab handle is, but I thought the speaker went towards the tailgate somewhere, there is some kind of circle indentation in the centre of the headlining right in front of the tail gate at the rear so could this be it? And if so how does it fit?

That's the right spot you describe, you fit it with double sided tape that come with the speaker.

No i'm wanting to retrofit it to the original spec, quite easy as the loom for the rear sensors and power is already in place on mine and the roof loom contains the connection for the park pilot speaker. So far bought the control unit, 6 sensors (still need 2 more), rear sensor loom for the estate, park pilot switch, trim for the bottom of the rear bumper (waiting to arrive...still), and then the power loom for the after market park pilot kit to make a mini loom to connect to the canbus, speaker connection on rear control unit and eventually to the engine compartment for the front sensors as the body loom is missing the wires. But gonna get rear up and working first. So far spent about £120 including all the wires to make the new bodyloom as per factory spec. I know i could go and buy a £20 set from ebay but prefer to have the factory fit look.

Yeah sorry I do realise that, the aftermarket one comes with near enough the same as I bought individually but doesn't make use of the partial loom that's already factory fitted in mine to power the control unit and I'd still have to buy the bottom trim for the bumper as shown in the instructions for the aftermarket kit.
I did get given the aftermarket speaker by another member, which connects directly into the control unit loom for the kit incase i didn't have the loom in the headlining however as I've got the loom i'd like the full factory fit look and with the speaker you have to drill holes in the existing trim and then the speaker fit's on top, always on show on the estate.

I know it's some time ago John, but I thought I had replied to you. I returned the speaker to "leeds vectra" a while back. I don't know if he's still got it or not though maybe worth dropping him a PM
