Default Opel vs Vauxhall - Which modell

    Hallo there !

    I have a Opel Vectra Stationwagon, Cosmo 1.9 CDTI-150 AT6, with OPC-Line pack II.

The car is equipped with sport suspension, 19" Snowflakes, full leather, park sensor front and rear, electrical "back door" (..don’t know what the door in the luggage compartment is called), heated back seats etc.... But it doesn’t have navi.

How can I "translate" my Opel to the "correct type or model" of Vauxhall Vectra ?

In Norway the different models of "facelift" Vectras were called : Vectra (cheapest model) - Elegance II - Sport - Cosmo.
OPC Line came in to levels: pack 1 and pack 2. One could choose OPC-line on Elegance, Sport and Cosmo.
18 and 19` inch OPC-line wheels were extras one both OPC-Line pack 1 and 2..

I had difficulties with choosing the right model when I should upload the car on this forums Garage...
I choosed SRI, but I´m not shore if this is correct

    Best regards Baard

The Opels seem so much more better specced than the Vauxhalls.

Reading our Owners manuals will tell you that!!

So many potential toys * Dependent on model, if you get my drift

well then you would be suprised how much is optional extra... depending on where you live.. as Cosmo in denmark dosnt have the same spec. as Cosmo in norway...

Think we generaly have 3 levels
    Essentia
    Elegance
    Cosmo

edit: forgot sometimes we also have comfort as model!!

Hmm. Is it Elite then ? Can one order Elite with XP2 ?
To me SRi sounds so much better (...and sporty)

What then is the option levels, or different kind of Vauxhall Vectra models in Britain ? (..in "rising" order please)

    Vectras at launch
    LS
    SXi
    Elegance
    Elite
    SRi
    GSi

Club was added in 2002, basically an LS with Alloy Wheels

Expression came along in 2003-2004, a really basic one without Cruise Control

Design was added and replaced Elegance.

Energy came in 2004, basic but with alloys, dark SRi lights and Leather steering wheel.

Full CANBUS cars came late 2004. LS was replaced by Life, and there was cost-cutting of small items across most of the range. Models were reminiscent of facelift to come.

    Then facelifts in 2006

Exclusiv was added as a high value model. Still basic though but good value for money

GSi was dropped prior to facelift.

2008 just saw Life, Exclusiv, SRi, Design and Elite and VXR

Signums always had a more rationalised range in the UK usually just 4 with no special editions!

    Thank you John !

It seems to me there are a lot more Vx Vectra models, and a big difference in how they are equipped, comparing to Opel Vectras...

Maby this question willl give us a hint: Wich of the Vx Vectras comes with leather seats as standard spec (as the Cosmo modell from Opel) ?

Cosmo has the highest "entry level" for specs in Norway (..and Germany). The confusing part is that XP2 with 18 or 19 inch wheels includes most of the specs from the Sport modell, such as: Sport suspension, tinted windows, darker head and tail lights etc....

Mayby I should stick to Sri vs Cosmo as the right "spec level" for my car, until I know a little bit more ?

Only the ELITE had Leather trim.

I think DESIGN had half leather trim.

SRi actually not that well specced, even less so after Facelift. Just sports suspension, gorgeous wheels and sportier exterior.
