    Default Cheap Designer Specs

I recently had my prescription changed and had to buy new specs. priced up a black graphite Armani one at black & lizars for £300.

same one on WWW.SPEX4LESS.COM for £120 delivered with the upgraded thinner, anti glare, scratchproof, uv protect lens. got a fancy case too. excellent service. you just send them your prescription and they send you specs on a 14days no questions moneyback guarantee. fantastic service and saved myself a bucket load of cash (went and blew it on a PC instead, lol)

Just thought I'd share this with everyone that wears specs. high street opticians are a rip off.

Excellent, well remember that one. My last pair were £380 quid ffs.

Isn't it wierd the only pair that you think actually suit you are the ones that costs the most

Thanks for that, I found a really cheap site for glasses last year, but because I am as blind as a bat!!! they would not do them, so I might give these people a go next time.

How do you go about getting them fitted once they are delivered? When you buy them from an opticians they always have to make some adjustments when you first get them.

I've bought some from them in the past other good sites are

    https://glassesdirect.co.uk/
    http://www.glassesonspec.co.uk/produ...ilter=45&cat=1
    http://www.specsonthenet.com/index.jsp
    http://www.spexmaniac.co.uk/

The adjustments are generally minimal, you need to know your pupilary distance (distance between your pupils).

I think you could pop into boots or other opticians for adjustment, not too sure they will be too happy to help as you would have sourced your glasses for up to 50% cheaper than getting them from them.

I bought a apir of glasses from an on line supplier http://www.nuglasses.co.uk six months ago and they are great. I was even able to upload a photo and try all the different glasses on. I reckon I saved about 60% over the cost I would have paid on the high street, so I am converted. We have all been paying too much for our glasses for too long.

It is strange I have just bought some new glasses, I asked how much they cost, they said the frames start at about £20 and the lens,s about £30. But by the time I have had Varifocal with Glass Transitional lens,s and the frames of my choice the bill was over £350. Not a cheap game having POOR EYESIGHT is it.
