Yes I'd like to do that myself too. Stupid cig lighter socket on the Insignia is positioned too forward, so when you plug any power lead in, it sticks out a mile and gets in the way of the gearchange.

I took out the glove box and pushed a wire down from the center of the fan @ bottom of windscreen, then unpluged the ciggy lighter and bought a 2 way ciggy adaptor wired it in using crimps to save cutting original wires on Veccy then pulled up my R-A and TomTom cables up to the dash and put it all back together so my ciggy lighter still works as well.

As for attaching the R-A to the dash i hated the magnet that the R-A comes with so i bought Velcro pads from halfords Black ones and cut the to size looks good and its solid no more moving off the magnet when i take the corners to fast! Got the Velcro HERE

need to move the tomtom cable under the steering wheel and up the rubber for driver door so it cant be seen, also wired the mic for the tomtom in and run it all the way to the top of the plastic trim at driver window pillar. Will put up more pics when i get the car clean and have moved the Tomtom cable
