    Default Blooming PS3 controller!

So got my PS3 yesterday, picked up GT5 prologue today and let the fun begin........or not. On GT3 and 4 I used the D pad for all steering as it was pressure sensitive, and I hate the sticks for driving games. The PS3/GT5 one however is different, using the D pad its either full lock or off, whats the score then, can I alter it in the settings or have Sony taken a step backwards?

I like the quicker reaction time of the D pad, and with the PS2 controller it gave you the same accuracy as the sticks. On games like COD however the sticks are a must have, although coming from a Wii to the sticks is really quite hard on Socom.

Tried this on my PS3 last night, my standard pad was the same, but the dualshock one seemed to work - very odd.

The pad I have is the six axis dual shock 3, I'd be happy to plug my Dualshock 2 in if there was a port.
