    Default glovebox cooling ?

has anyone on here got it,
i'm reading my signum manual, and found this section, aparently there is a lever that fits in the square hole on the right when the glovebox is open, this diverts air from the aircon into the glovebox, it seems a manual operation from the instructions,,

can a replacement pipe be bought that enables a non cooled glovebox to be converted?

just wondering how easy hard it might be

Yes, I have it. It's a knurled dial that opens/closes a vent into the glovebox and feeds it with the same air (be it heated or cooled) that is being feed into the passenger compartment.

Can you retro fit it? I don't know. Would need to see what parts are fitted.

    Big Phil

Think the gas should be ok as the car is only a year old!

does your glovebox get really cold then??? - The rest of the climate works works really well - even in this heat by 2 miles down the road - after the car has been sitting in the sun at work for most of the day ( ) Im begining to shiver!.

Perhaps I need to check to see if Ive opened the valve properly!!

With dual zone climate I find it annoying that you have to go through a screen before you can turn on/off the fridge - perhaps I should just leave it on all the time regardless if its cold or warm outside??

And while Im on the subject the air recirculation always defaults to 'off' when you start the car- again bit weird.

    Phil,

The glove box has chilled ever since I got the car.. So I can only assume it's standard..

Not possessing a masters degree in advanced nuclear physics, I haven't yet poked too far around the computerised HVAC...

So I leave it on all the time.. Great for the petrol station choc bars..
