    Default 2007 Vectra...Peeling lacquer - front bumper

Hi everyone. I've a 2007 150cdti sri Vectra with lacquer begining to peel from front bumper. Car is like new, only 35k on clock and there are no stone chips etc.
Has anyone experienced this before and if so did Vauxhall cover under anti perforation? I'm in process at of submitting a claim through Vauxhall approved Bodyshop in Belfast...don't yet know the outcome.
Reckon it would cost about £300 for resprayed front bumper.

I'll will get a pic to post soon.

    thanks...Andrew

anti perforation covers the main bodywork of the car and covers corrosion from the inside coming out

your bumper is made of plastic - the anti perforation warranty will not cover this

i suspect you have followed someone with leaky brakes

and as such the damage will not be a genuine manufacturing defect

the other question to ask is are you the first keeper of the car
35K with no stone chips would suggest a repair at some stage in the vehicle's life either by a bodyshop or privately - this may have been a substandard repair hence the lacquer peeling

sorry again - dont shoot the mesenger

John, yea car has full VX history.
As far as I'm concerned paintwork is original and never been repaired. I am second owner. First owner was Vauxhall dealer in Belfast, car has been cared for like new baby.
Paintwork shouldn't peel from a 2yr old car!!
Watch this space anyway for reply from Vauxhall
