    Same happened to me, got a new cowling for £8 off ebay, but believe you can get one from VX for £15 and they charged me £22.50 to fit the lower bit as I'd only mess it up.

    Yes this has happened to a lot of members in the past. One even had suncream on his legs and rested his leg against the centre consol, the surface peeled off it soon after. You need to be very careful what you let come into contact with a lot of the interior trim i,m affraid.
