Default Shower Sealant Silicone - - WHICH ONE??

    Need some assistance guy's.

Have a shower cubicle and the edge where the tiles meet the shower tray started leaking, so we stripped the silicone sealant away and found it to be totally knackered.

Anyway, have dried it all away and re-sealed with more moud resistant and waterproof shower & bath sealant silicone, but its started peeling away again, you can almost see that its started to come away from the shower tray.

Any advice as to which is the bext one to use and which one wont start peeling away or coming away from both surfaces?

    Its blinking annoying!!

    Thanks.

Is it peeling when someone gets in? if so it sounds like it could be because the plastic is deforming due to the weight. How about putting something heavy on the shower tray along with yourself whilst you fill it? (I'm thinking along the lines of filling a bath before sealing it)

hi, you should look for silicon that is "neutral cure" as this is far stickier than the ordinary "acetoxy cure" stuff, plus i agree with the above get rid of any deflection in the shower tray first

Is the shower tray well fitted, does it flex when you stand in it?
