    Default Car mat fitting kit

does anyone know of anywhere I can get a car mat fixing kit. I need the two plug things that the mat fits into. I think its normally a set of 4. 2 for each front mat.

Your local vx dealer should have them, and they should not be too dear I recon.

They should come with the mats, or at least the proper Vx mats from the dealers should have the kit included?

I can not remember mine having the "stud things" that screw into the floor, just the mats and the round "disc,s" that press over the studs.

Perhaps it's only the so-called Luxury mats that I bought that have the kit then?

In have a set which should be OK, new still in the bag, PM me your name and address and I'll send them to you. they are the Vauxhall type which you have a base which grips the carpet, then fit the mat and then clip the top round bit in.

thanks alot guys, the mats I have are not original vx but they are tailored for the veccy. they have 2 holes in them which the studs pop into. It stops the mats sliding around. specially the driver side.

for some reason my dealer doesn't sell them seperately ??? sells almost everything else

On my set, they came with 4 threaded studs, two each for the rears, you bradle a hole either side of the mat and put the studs in then tighten them with a screwdriver into the carpet, fronts just pop over the existing fitting studs in the carpet.

And the fixings in the back do work well, I've had mine in 3 mths now and no punter has managed to either thieve or dislodge the mats....YET!
